Four Member teams will participate from each
Business, Sports Club and Society that elects to participate. The Club
Manager or a designated representative will attend with the team. A Country
Club golf professional will be assigned, via blind draw, to play with the
Business Club Members. Local qualifiers at the club level will determine
what team will have the honor of representing their club at the National
Event. Each team participating must meet total team handicap index
requirements of 45.0. Teams will be comprised of male or female members in
good standing with established USGA verifiable handicaps. The format will be
an elimination scramble with USGA rules governing the event. The tournament
will be played on Courses No. 2, No. 5 and No. 8.
The 4-man team entry fee covers 4-nights double occupancy, all
meals beginning with Wednesday evening dinner and going through Sunday
morning breakfast, four (4) rounds of golf (1 practice round and 3
tournament rounds), round trip ground
transportation from the Raleigh Durham & Southern Pines Airports to Pinehurst.
The famed Putter Boy Trophy, attainable only by winning a national
tournament at Pinehurst, will be awarded the winning team.
