Four Member teams
along with a Club Manager or Club Representative from each business, sports,
society club have the opportunity to convene at Pinehurst for 5 days and 4
nights of competitive golf, festive evenings and bragging rights as the
winner of the Acura ClubCorp Team Championship. Each participating team
will be paired with a country club golf professional via blind draw and will
play with the same team for the 3 days of competitive golf. Ideally, local
qualifiers at the club level will determine what team will have the honor of
representing their club at the National Event. Each team participating must
meet total team handicap index requirements of 45.0. Teams will be comprised
of male or female members in good standing with established USGA verifiable
handicaps. The format will be an elimination scramble with USGA rules
governing the event. The tournament will be played on Courses No. 2, No. 5
and No. 8.
The 4-man team entry
fee covers 4-nights double occupancy, all meals beginning with Wednesday
evening dinner and going through Sunday morning breakfast, four (4) rounds
of golf (1 practice round and 3 tournament rounds), round trip ground
transportation from the Raleigh Durham Airport to Pinehurst.
The famed Putter Boy Trophy, attainable only by winning a national
tournament at Pinehurst, will be awarded each member and golf professional
of the winning team.
